Hi Claus, great to hear from you.
Sorry for the delayed response - it has been a bit dead on here recently.
To be fair, I am not entirely sure what I expected from DH, I probably should have joined 6 months earlier than I did. By the time I joined, I had already brought myself back to a fit state, already lost a load of weight and just joined an OTW club.
I suppose I was after a community and some alternative challenges and expected Shane to actually have a presence there - very noticeable by his absence.
I did do the 2K 101 program and about half of the 2K 201 program, but always thought that with any of their programs, you could pretty much do anything and you would probably improve your 1K, 2K, 5K, etc time.
I don't currently follow any plan, but then we have coaches at our club who set Ergs for us on a regular basis.
The Pete Plan is probably worth doing, it is a 12 week cyclical plan that you potentially go around 12 times!
it works on continuous improvement.
To a degree it depends on what you are looking to improve - sprints, general rowing, distance
Sprints, I would suggest just doing the C2 daily WoD
General rowing, some of the C2 WoD's, the Cross Team Challenge and a load of low heart rate distance
Distance, lots of low heart rate distance and at least one 1/2 marathon a week and one or more full marathons a year.
All of these are great for building you up, improving fitness and cardio vascular endurance, but nothing beats being out on the water.
