I have not exactly been very active here or on the erg. A project at work and teaching took away my focus and when I did do something it was either OTW or skiing (mostly cross country but also got some alpine in - one advantage of Seattle: 1 hour to the closest ski area that has both).
Normally I would also blame travel but between the weekend before Thanksgiving (18/19 November) and 21 February, I did not fly anywhere. That is the longest stretch of not being on an airplane since 2003! Still went to the airport a lot but only to pickup and drop off a rotating set of family members for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and college breaks.
However, travel is back with a vengeance. I flew from Seattle to Denmark for my mom's 90th birthday on 21 February and back again 26 February. Then Seattle-Boston for the following weekend, and now I am in Virginia for the weekend. The rest of March is pretty quiet, but then I leave for Virginia again on 4 April to meet my parents, who are coming over from Denmark to see my son's chorus sing at the Kennedy Center, and will be back in Seattle on 13 April. Then I am off to Ohio for a conference on the 16th and back on the 20th. May is probably just going to be one trip with wife to a conference of hers in Florida.
At least, when I travel to Virginia there is a very nice county run aquatics and fitness center with three ergs, so I am heading there right now...
